Richard's journey into personal training began with a pivotal moment in 1981 when he discovered “high intensity strength training" through The Nautilus Bodybuilding Book by Ellington Darden, PhD. Captivated by the science and logic behind this methodology, Richard quickly embraced this approach to fitness, drawn to its focus on efficiency and safety. Over the next 40 years, his commitment to this training style only deepened as scientific evidence confirmed what he’d already discovered: high-intensity, brief, and infrequent workouts maximize results without the typical wear and tear on connective tissue that many exercise methods often cause.
After a 30-year career in financial services, where he remained dedicated to this exercise regimen, even competing and placing in natural bodybuilding contests with less than 20 minutes of exercise per week, Richard made the leap to his true passion. Today, he is driven by the mission to help people achieve their best physical selves. Whether you’re an athlete striving for peak performance or simply aiming to “age gracefully” and retain physical independence into your golden years, Richard is committed to helping you succeed.
